Problem

Design an exhibition title type treatment, title wall graphic, and poster for the exhibition Black Power to Black People: Branding the Black Panther Party, which explores how graphic design and visual culture helped shape the political movement.

Solution

My concept arose from the importance of the leather jackets in Black Panther culture. I created patches and pins to house the exhibition title and additional information, based on vintage designs. The jacket itself served as the background for the poster and title wall.
